Alice by Shel Silverstein

I was speaking with Illuper about our past experiences and failures and how some people come by and ask you about them with a big smile. Then I remembered this little poem by Silverstein

Please do, rub my unsuccess on my face with your big smile and your high pitched intonation.

For I can’t help but love food.

Mama Carrie Makes

She drank from a bottle called DRINK ME
And up she grew so tall,
She ate from a plate called TASTE ME
And down she shrank so small.
And so she changed, while other folks
Never tried nothin’ at all.

Back to School

Back to school for a presentation rehearsal that went pretty well. Partner and I still have many things to perform for our Final Year Project but we were expecting such – I mean, come on, the presentation PPT was prepared 11 hours before the performance, and the work 70% done – and professors were eager enough to share all their observations and suggestions. I think the result is going to be amazing with all the adds coming ahead!

Back to school means back to friends and acquaintances and the staff. It also means engineering students speaking about their own projects, internships, tutors – at school and in the company-, their progress in the report’s writing, their own presentation rehearsals, their preparation for the big day, etc etc.

Since I’ve been away for so long and don’t usually stick around enough, I couldn’t help spending hours with every person I encounter to catch up. Hectic times are hectic for everyone but man! What a delight to get to discover someone’s data or report.

I just hope that people will keep their spirits up.
